Ok, so its only a single stage, and it is fan made using the Unity Engine.  But you can play it in your browser(or download it) and its just the tits.  It looks beautiful, and I never knew how much I needed it in my life until watching the video.

I still like Mario 64 above all the other 3D Marios.  That might be nostalgia but I think it has the whole essence of what a Mario game should be without gimmicks (CAT SUITS)

Absolutely.  It was a fun game with good platforming, introduced new things to the series(Metal Cap, Red Coins, Multiple Missions per world), and even though each world was enclosed it had an "Open World" feel before "Open World" was even a thing for console games.  Controls aren't great, especially by today's standards, but a total HD overhaul would be able to remedy that.

I just wish they would have smoothed out the controls in the 3DS port...
