GM Franchise

Expansion list was posted by Ian in the draft thread.

James, everytime you post in the OOC your perception of "yourself" is just as apparently off key 'in game' as GM Franchise as it is 'out of game' as yourself lol.

Now I know how Franchise feels every game.  Speak your mind and you get singled out for it.
Quote[Nov 30 21:22:23] Trumpers:you have literally assembled one of the worst teams possible

J-Reb

That is mixed in with the free agent list.  They can only select from guys who were exclusively put in the expansion draft list.

Strike

Insane list. Kinda kicking the spirit of Cory's reign in Texas for also not setting up a link to the Spanish. XD

GM Franchise

Interesting list of free agents. The two expansion teams could be playoff contenders going by who's out there.

Just kidding.  I'm wrong.  As usual.

Mike Powers

Newb question.

On the free agent list, certain players are highlighted different colors (red, yellow, etc).  What dat mean?

T-Bonizzle

They are with teams outside the FBL. Barcelona, Madrid, and Tijuana (Franchise's team)

Mike Powers

Is that essentially just flavor?  Does the fact that they are playing abroad make any real difference when negotiating with them, etc?

Rob

So the players available to Josh and myself are the players in the free agency without teams, yeah?

Yep, you got it.

It does make a difference.  Teams send those players over their to build relationship with those teams for future instances.  For example, I drafted Mo Daniels a couple of seasons ago and sent him to that team.  So in the future I can contact that team and potentially get him or another player from over there because I've created a working relationship with them.  HOpe that makes sense.

Mike Powers

So, if a player isn't doing very well, I can send him to Barcelona.  Is that considered a trade (ie, I have his roster spot and cap room), or is he still on the roster, to be called back up at any time?

Domingo

The teams contact you, Mike. you can't just call them up and say, hey I'm going to give you this guy. It has to be someone they are interested in.

And more times than not, if one of the teams contact you to acquire a player, it's best to send that player so you can build that relationship.
