GM Franchise

Ian said what I've been thinking for this entire 'Franchise, pro advisor phase' in the game.  :P

Ask around. I'm a lot better at being an advisor than being a GM. :)

James, everytime you post in the OOC your perception of "yourself" is just as apparently off key 'in game' as GM Franchise as it is 'out of game' as yourself lol.

Now I know how Franchise feels every game.  Speak your mind and you get singled out for it.

T-Bonizzle

Nobody you've advised has played any games or has a complete squad yet. I think we should hold off on awarding you 'best advisor.' :)

Rob

You ain't advised me, that's for sure

Justin

I've given Josh some advice and he used it.  He will make the playoffs.

There are only a couple of bits of advice you need to play this game:

-Use common sense
-Don't get excited and trade just because it's fun
-Have a plan and stick to it
-Don't completely disregard your owners wishes

Classic examples of doing the wrong thing:

-Cory hiring a coach then trying to veto the deal because he got his head turned
-Ty setting himself a new job with a great team and the best coach at the time, but then trading away all of the players he had kept for no reason whatsoever, losing his coach and losing his job
-Dom talking about the expansion draft and destroying team morale
-Strike annoying his star player because he got a sniff at Shack
-James hiring Moses Franks for more money than Conrod Class
-James signing someone he knew nothing about that was earning 8m

Doing the right thing:

-Hondo hiring the Closeness brothers (before they went criminal)
-Justin scouting Xavi
-Jag putting his foot down with Malone
-Blade/Me having a strong team core and sticking with it
-Most things James has done.

Just be sensible folks, the game isn't rocket science. I know nothing about basketball other than the ball goes in the hoop, so if I can win then anybody can.

Ty

With James, in his defense, he understands stats and is great at bouncing ideas off of. Might make odd decisions but he would make a great assistant gm

Ideas could be bounced off of anyone, doesn't mean they bounce back with any accuracy.

If only I could broccoli this multiple times in a matter of seconds, I would.

Jennifer

For clarity's sake, Nestgate happened in the first place because Cory had a deal in place then tried to change it to less money, as he thought that coach's salaries came from salary cap, not PR budget.

Cory

Thanks. Not an idiot, just royally fucked myself for not double checking. And of corse two of my old players go first two.

Oh well time to build another legit team.
