1. You also address your coach first. Not doing so will back fire on you. Most recent example is in Kentucky this season.

2. You don't address the entire team like that. Now you can say "Let's gather the guys so I can address them all." And then sort of give them a speech so to speak and you might generate a few responses from some.

Just treat the players as individuals and convey to them that you care and you're golden.

I can't recommend enough reading the threads of the most successful teams.

I'm not sure that what you just did follows any of the advice there B.

Like I said, look at what we've done. You wait after your press conference to get your coach's feedback and address any issues with him. Then you pick up on your General News story if there is something that needs addressing. Then you speak to one, maybe two players per week unless you have a set agenda (renewing contracts, signing new players etc).

I try to speak to each player at least once during the first few weeks of the season, but then I'm lucky most of the time and haven't had any nasty General News to deal with in a while. Get to know them. One conversation can often be enough to see if you have a psycho in the ranks.

I don't think anybody has ever tried to speak to all 8 players at once unless addressing them as a team.

Wait for response from player, and continue discussion if required.


Step 6:
Dismiss player and bring in the next one, if you want to talk to him.


Continue steps 5 and 6 until you're satisfied with your results for the week.


Step 7:
Call the coaches back in and send in your lock in sheet.

Pray for a win

Treat the game like exagerated reality. Someone is talking to you, you answer. Find out what they want, what advice they have and stuff before moving on to talk to the next person. Treat them with respect but still establish boundaries and stuff.

Just adding something to the game, as its been discussed before.

NBA 2K14 comes out October 2nd, and by that time we MAY be close to Season 15 of the FBL. With shared rosters and what have you, I'll be getting the game and if anyone else on 360 plans on it, I'd like to know a little ahead of time if anyone else would be down for the cause.
