It's all about building future assets. I've got four contracts coming off my books next year and four first round picks to supplement them with. I'm in a good spot after inheriting a team who's been perennially awful because I've made moves.

Always need to think ahead. For me, I have a cash cow in Mason Griffin who is completely on a make or break season. For most teams he's their core piece, but because I have 3 1st round picks next season, if he WONT get me that title, cut him and be able to sign 2 1st round draft picks pretty comfortably.

I have Class, Free, & Band too all close to 30. It seems AFTER 30, players start to go to shit (unless your Eddie Lights), and all these guys after this season will be in their final year of their contracts. Odds say I can land one (probably Class) as a very good AC, and the rest Im going to have to replace, and probably let go to expansion. Again, thought for the future and went all out for 4 draft picks next season.

Have I got the right draft list?

I count 32 available players on it for drafting, which would take us up to the 4th pick in the 2nd round.  If that's right why are people still trading late 2nd round picks?

Is that just the main list you're looking at? There is a separate list for the international players.

Having said that, there have been more picks than players in the main draft for a couple of seasons now.
