At this point, I'll probably be fired regardless.

It's going to happen anyway.  The writing already seems to be on the wall.  If it's not over this it would be over the team being near the bottom of the conference with terrible backups on the bench that can't even back up all of the positions (assuming the training didn't go through).  It's really just a matter of when it's going to happen, though I'd wager sooner rather than later if this keeps up.

Don't get me wrong.  I don't want to be fired.  I just don't see how it doesn't happen.

Ironically, I'm just trying to make my already terrible situation slightly better and it's doing nothing but having the total opposite effect.

In the short run, probably not.  Newton's a terrible player at best and whenever he's on the court he'll be terrible.

In the long run, it can make a difference.  Not having him be able to play center means that Danberry never leaves the games and that over time can lead to injuries/exhaustion/etc. that can have an effect not only throughout the season but potentially in seasons to follow.

I haven't been trying to put energy into it.  I was just trying to see if I could do it and then just get it done.  Clearly it's been more difficult than that.

Even when I move on from the training thing I'll still have to deal with the fact that his coach threw a water bottle at his head and people showed more concern for the water bottle.

It's only been the focus because I've yet to get a straight answer about it.  At this point I just want it done.  I stated as much when I locked in and now I just want it to be confirmed that it was done.  At this rate it looks like I'll have to ask the Captain about it when I finally talk to him for the first time since he rejoined the team, though if I do I'll probably receive a vague answer from him as well.

If this was something that would effect my team next season like trying to re-sign a free agent (See me dealing with Sales trying to re-sign Bolak Huir last season), I would just give up on getting an answer and move on.  This however effects the team that I field this season, which is already bad enough as it is.

Maybe I should've hired Trigger...at least he's a straight shooter lol
