Most likely as usual, it's the Owner acting on his own.  Reya won't have any control until the Post Season (Except maybe some scouting?)

He asked for a LOA till next season. No disrespect to Ken, but I kind of need more committment to the game so I "fired" him and we will look to replace him next year or if he is back he can have a pop at a vacant job.

I can't do anything in regards to filling player or coaching vacancies until the offseason starts.

In any case, if it were me doing something I can assure you that Nick Shaw wouldn't be first on my list for the head coach job.

I always got the impression it was the teams. Like the seagulls and aces managers have high expectations so they secured big free agents. It's a bonus of having those big market teams, off sets the huge expectations.
