I hate the deal as much as the other 20+ GM's, but I don't blame Franchy or Reya or BD... Because if you can afford to do it... then why should you care what others think. You're not trying to please the other 31 GM's. You're just trying to please one owner.

I actually liked the hire Franchy. It was bold and it worked, you didn't have to go around begging other coaches to come to Anchorage, your first pick worked out. So, don't let the man drag you down. Sure, you overpaid him, but you had plenty of PR space to do that and make sure he accepted the deal.

While unproven, I do think Worthy Green has potential to be a good coach.

Thanks Jon, thanks Strike. And I I think he has that potential going by his team's SL stats the last two seasons. I was going by his team stats with Auckland too and noticed that he did more with less compared to some of the other coaches over there I was looking at. His teams were competitive both seasons and had both high defensive stats and low turnovers which is what sold me on him.

Yeah I checked out his work in Calgary too when I was working through my decision process with this.
