He was already making 10.  I offered him 11 to keep him on which was already higher than most of the other C coaches.  He wanted 14.  Trying to talk him down from it's only going to hurt the team and/or lead to him leaving and me ending up having to sign Flips or someone just as bad.  I'd rather bite the bullet and eat 3 more million PR (leaving me with 2.5 mil left) than take the gunshot straight to the forehead.

Don't get me wrong, Shaw is my current favorite coach to read; but I don't think he's why you're succeeding at all. I thought you'd let him walk and bring in the first coach who quits their team because of a bad record.

I know he's not why the team's succeeding but now isn't exactly the time to rock the boat.  I thought about letting him walk but it's not like there's a plethora of quality coaches out there and more than likely when the offseason does start they'll be snapped up before I could even speak to one of them.
