MY belief is.....it depends on the coaching staff (how good they are; mostly the AC), and on the individual player (willingness to learn, relationship to GM, overall skill level, etc).

For me I tend to train players I've invested a lot of resources in, and train them in parts of their game that isn't strong. You can't train a talentless player to suddenly be talented, but you can train someone with potential.

My checklist goes along the lines of...

- Are they relatively young?
- Are they not a one trick pony? (i.e. big man with slow feet, pure defender)
- Have they been stated to have potential?
- Where are they supposedly weak?
- Don't train in things they're already good at.
