I didn't even look at what I offered in relation to what other assistants are making, honestly.  I simply looked at what he's currently making and offered him a little more in order to entice him away from his current team as I figured offering the same amount he's making now would probably lead to him declining the offer.

My current coach likes him and it puts a stop to the coaching carousel that's been going on with my team since the beginning of the season.  I could've left the ball in his court to present me a contract offer he'd be fine with like I did with Byways but I figured that probably wouldn't fly and I'd have to make an offer anyhow.
