Now Bismark have got mediocre players surrounded by "fucking crap." There's no dressing that trade up as fair or even remotely good for Jacksonville and your attempt to do so is more laughable than the trade itself.

I don't question you for jumping ship and taking all your good players. I question that option being there in the first place. I'm with Justin on this. Players should not be rewarded for jumping ship. As for not instantly winning the FBL title, you're right that this trade won't do that for you, but this trade does turn a team who was no threat in a division into an instant playoff contender. It's taken me two seasons of difficult trades to do that with Greenville (and I'm still not there) but you've done it in one trade.

I assume by Jacksonville you mean Bismarck...

So the fact Bismarck have a roster of 5 guys with Watchen and Crane being very capable as well as JR being a good veteran with 7 roster spots to fill and $68.5m to spend on them and $38.5m PR to spend is a bad thing. Thing is, anyone can probably go in there and make a better team than I did.

I've gone to Baton Rouge, maybe... I'll have $29m to spend on 6 players. The trade weighs the money in such a way that it makes it very, very difficult for me... And so it should. But to suggest I'm being rewarded and I have an easy ride to the play-offs next season is ridiculous. I put the crap in Bismarck and I have just as much potential to put crap in Baton Rouge too.

And by the way, I doubt very much that Ian is going to reward someone in such a way that makes jumping with your key players a good thing. There's going to be large obstacles thrown in my way and I enjoy the prospect of them. After all... It is a game. It's not a fucking job.

Umm what? This trade doesn't do anything for Rob. If the three guys he had couldn't win is Bismark with marginal players, how are they going to win in Baton Rogue with a similar set? He still has to work, but now with the added bonus of trying to cobble together a new coaching staff and having a less patient owner. I wouldn't cry foul over this just yet, his new situation has similar problems and then some. Either way he needs to work, just like every other GM who has ever done this.

Thanks.

It was updated last before I hired my new AC and re-signed Wallace so it could bump up 1 maybe lol

So basically, right now Rob is the Rex Ryan of the FBL.

Except Rob is pretty flat in his pressers.

TimBucktuo

With teams becoming bigger does that mean that the starters spend less time on the court?

T-Bonizzle

I'd imagine so, but that value has only been vaguely defined in the first place.

Might mean different minutes strategy options next season.

James, everytime you post in the OOC your perception of "yourself" is just as apparently off key 'in game' as GM Franchise as it is 'out of game' as yourself lol.

Now I know how Franchise feels every game.  Speak your mind and you get singled out for it.

You're kidding, right? The supporting players he has in Baton Rouge are a different class to the shit that he left the Jaguars with.

I'm not kidding. The only thing Rob really did for himself was leave Bismarck before they fired him. He'll have the same set of problems and more heading into next season.

Kirk if you really believe I've given myself a bye next season then I'll take those 2 W's against you now.

He may not even have those players at the beginning of next season.

I mean, what if his star players want to go back to the team that drafted them? That happens. What if Flips players are the only players left by the time he gets to take over his team? That happens. What if his owner discovers he's accidentally employed a Brit and lynches him? That could happen.

In that case, I'd like to offer a trade of Creed Jackson for Fi Mai. They're practically the same.

You already did with that trade.
