It's just like the NBA does it. It's the way Ian has always done it here too.

It's why the worst team doesn't always get the best draft pick.

Worst record gets their name in a hat 32 times.
The next 31 times.
So on and so forth.

Then you draw out of the hat.

In Ian's case, he uses random.org.

The more times you have your name in the hat, the higher the odds you get a high pick.

No, they're not. 14 teams are in the lottery, but they only draw three teams. The rest are placed based on record (worst to best), so in their system the worst team in the league can't drop below the 4th pick.

The ones who don't make the playoffs are in the lotto ... the rest of the draft is set by record in the regular season of the playoff teams .

I thought that also, but after Digger posted that I looked it up.  He's correct.

All lottery teams are drawn for the first 3 positions only in the NBA. And then like Digger said, fill out the rest by record.

But they are drawn for all non-playoff positions in the FBL.
