Daniel Radcliffe to Star in "Frankenstein"



Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) is in final negotiations to star in 20th Century Fox's new "Frankenstein" movie, which is based on the classic horror story by Mary Shelley. The plan is to begin shooting late summer in the UK.

Radcliffe will play Igor, the hunchback, who is the lead character in the film. He is described as pathologically dirty, with long hair and wearing old clown clothes. (A circus tone permeates much of the project).

Paul McGuinan (Push, Lucky Number Slevin) is directing "Frankenstein," which was written by "Chronicle" scribe Max Landis.
