Like my OVW updates and JDM's TNA updates, I thought I'd start just ONE thread with ROH updates. Then I can consolidate things into one!  Yah!

THIS Sunday afternoon, as part of the biggest "Ring of Honor Wrestling" TV tapings yet, Steel Cage Warfare returns to ROH for the first time since January 2009's "Caged Collision" event. That night, as with the first ever SCW in 2005, the battle was about pride, about rivalries, and about settling scores. And while all those elements are a factor in June 23rd's Steel Cage Warfare, when Team ROH takes on S.C.U.M, it is also about the fate of Ring of Honor.

If the team of Elgin, Lethal, BJ Whitmer, and either Mark or Jay Briscoe are victorious then Suffering, Chaos, Ugliness, & Mayhem will cease to be and Steve Corino will apologize for his actions as well as bend to the will of Match Maker Nigel McGuinness.  If it is Jacobs, Titus, Rhino, and Compton who are the victors though, then the future of ROH will rest in the hands of Corino as he assumes McGuinness' position and becomes the official Match Maker for Ring of Honor. Essentially the power to kill honor will become his...

With our most important night in 11 years looming THIS Sunday, ROHWrestling.com was informed that, just this morning, the rules for this Steel Cage Warfare match have been finalized and are as follows:

- Elimination Rules
- Eliminations can occur at any time by pinfall or submission.
- Coin flip before the match to determine the advantage.
- 2 men start and will wrestle for 5 minutes.
- After 5 minutes a member from the team who won the coin flip enters.
- Entrants then alternate between teams every 2 minutes.

This Sunday afternoon it's ROH (Whitmer, Elgin, Lethal, & Briscoe) versus S.C.U.M (Jacobs, Titus, Rhino, & Compton) in STEEL CAGE WARFARE!!! To say the future of ROH is at stake here would be an understatement...

On June 1st, Ring of Honor traveled to San Antonio for "Honor In The Heart of Texas". That night Davey Richards gave Jay Briscoe the fight of his life in a World Title bout, ACH went toe-to-toe with Jay Lethal and nearly bested one of his idols, and, most importantly for this announcement, "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards defeated World TV Champion Matt Taven in a Proving Ground battle and earned himself a future shot at said championship.

ROHWrestling.com was informed this morning that Edwards' opportunity will come THIS Sunday afternoon in Baltimore as part of what is no doubt the most important "Ring of Honor Wrestling" TV Taping yet!

"I was the first." said Eddie Edwards via e-mail, "I know the pressure and expectations that come with holding that championship, and as a former World Champion I know what it's like to follow in the footsteps of the men who held the title before you. Matt Taven, after Texas I can also say that I know first-hand that you've got the potential to be great but not when you've got Truth Martini in your ear. He is poison, he will make you think you need him to achieve that greatness, just go ask Roderick, go ask Elgin what having Truth at their side did to them. You won't see it, not surrounded by the women and the hoopla that comes with the House of Truth but maybe if you lose that title to Lethal or Jimmy Jacobs on Saturday, maybe if I take it from you Sunday and become the first ever 2-Time TV Champ, maybe then you'll figure out the real truth of the matter. Either way, if it's Taven who steps into the ring across from me in Baltimore or if I go one-on-one with Jay Lethal for the first time in an ROH ring or Jimmy Jacobs for the first time anywhere, know you are in for a fight boys. The Wolves are hungry like never before and the only thing that whets our appetite is championships."

June 23rd, "Ring of Honor Wrestling" TV Taping, the very first TV Champion "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards challenges for the title he helped build and attempts to become the first ever 2-Time TV Champion in ROH history!! The only downside for Edwards is that he has no idea who he will face until after the Taven/Lethal/Jacobs Triple Threat title match at "Best in the World 2013" the night before.

Will it be Taven looking to even the score and cement his spot alongside the previous TV Title holders or it will be a first-time collision with either Lethal or Jacobs? Check out "BITW '13" to see for yourself and then make sure you are in attendance the next day for our biggest TV Tapings yet! Not only will the TV Title be on the line, as well as Steel Cage Warfare, but Matt Hardy looks to shock the world by becoming the new ROH World Champion when he challenges the winner of Saturday's Briscoe versus Briscoe World Title bout! Hardy would no doubt be the most controversial champion in ROH history if he is able to bring the belt back into the S.C.U.M fold!

This Saturday and Sunday, June 22nd and 23rd, Ring of Honor returns to The Du Burns Arena in Baltimore for TWO huge live events that just may be the most important ones since the day ROH was born in February of 2002. First up on Saturday it's "Best in the World 2013" live on iPPV featuring all three ROH titles up for grabs as Mark Briscoe attempts to dethrone his older brother Jay in the World Title bout, Jay Lethal & Jimmy Jacobs both look to claim the TV Title from Matt Taven, and C&C Wrestle Factory as well as Rhett Titus & Cliff Compton hope to end the World Tag Team Title reign of reDRagon! Also Kevin Steen in action against Matt Hardy, Ciampa vs. Elgin, and more!

Then on Sunday it is the biggest TV Tapings we have ever had with undoubtedly the most important match that has ever aired on "Ring of Honor Wrestling" TV in Steel Cage Warfare III between Team ROH and S.C.U.M. In addition, Matt Hardy will challenge for the World Title, Eddie Edwards will challenge for the TV Title, and more!

- The recent Ring of Honor TV tapings and internet pay-per-view were the last scheduled appearances for The Briscoe Brothers. It's worth noting that Jay currently holds the ROH World Title. There is talk within ROH that the brothers are "headed for greener pastures" which could mean a WWE developmental deal. At the same time, there is some talk that they're just on hiatus but it looks like they're leaving the company.

ROH passed along this storyline update in regards to the status of The Briscoe Brothers. As noted yesterday, PWInsider reported that the duo may be WWE bound. Please note that the update below contains spoilers for future ROH TV episodes:

Last weekend in Baltimore was a physically brutal one for both World Champion Jay Briscoe and his "Best in the World 2013" challenger Mark Briscoe. The brothers tore into one another in one of the more physical championship battles and it ultimately required Jay to utilize multiple Jay Drillers in order to put his brother down for the three count. Unfortunately, as a result of those maneuvers and the general punishment suffered in the bout, Mark Briscoe was forced out of his spot in the Steel Cage Warfare bout that went down during the following day's "Ring of Honor Wrestling" TV Tapings.

As for Jay, the day of those tapings he defended his title once again, this time against S.C.U.M's Matt Hardy and although he was victorious in the bout, following the match the champion was viciously assaulted with a steel chair by S.C.U.M and left laying.

Unfortunately, ROHWrestling.com has since learned that, as a result of the injuries sustained during "Best in the World" weekend, both Jay and Mark will be out of action indefinitely. Mark suffered severe head trauma as a result of the bout with his brother while Jay apparently has a fractured shoulder and torn rotator cuff coming from the assault at the hands of S.C.U.M. At this point it is unknown how long Jay and Mark will be out of action but we will stay on top of the story to provide you with details as they are made available to us.

ROHWrestling.com also contacted Match Maker Nigel McGuinness for an update on how this would affect the championship held by Jay Briscoe and he informed us that there will be an announcement made soon regarding the status of the ROH World Title. Nigel did inform us that he intended to announce this week that Michael Elgin would receive his championship opportunity on August 3rd in Toronto but now that is in question. ROHWrestling.com has hear rumors that with Elgin scheduled to be the next man in line for a shot, he may be the World Title due to forfeit.

All of the events that led to this will be seen on "Ring of Honor Wrestling" TV broadcasts over the course of the next several weeks or you will be able to see it all unfold very shortly courtesy of the Early Bird TV options here (http://www.rohwrestling.com/tv/current) on ROHWrestling.com.

Stay tuned for more details on the status of the World Title as they are made available...

Four of ROH's best are set to do battle....

On the heels of a landscape changing weekend in Baltimore, Ring of Honor heads out for a Triple Shot weekend starting in Chicago on July 11th, then heading to Milwaukee on July 12th, and wrapping up on July 13th in Dearborn! Yesterday it was announced that The American Wolves would go into singles action against reDRagon in Milwaukee and today ROHWrestling.com has learned that Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards will be in tag team action in Dearborn!

Their opponents that night in the Great Lakes State? The unusual pairing of "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin and Jay Lethal!

"Elgin and Lethal showed some great promise as a team back in Toronto." said Nigel McGuinness to ROHWrestling.com, "And in light of recent events with Jay and Mark Briscoe, we wanted to make sure that the great fans in Michigan get to see the absolute best wrestlers in the absolute best matches and what better way than by doing what Ring of Honor does better than anyone else...tag team wrestling!"

The Wolves, former tag team champions, are no doubt one of the elite teams in all of tag team wrestling while Elgin (the current #1 contender) and Lethal can both lay claim to the same in the field of singles competition. There is history between all four men: Elgin has gone to war with both Davey and Eddie individually as well as in tag team battles while Lethal and Richards engaged in some classic battles in 2012 but Jay has yet to clash with Eddie inside the ROH ring.

The tag team advantage obviously lies in the Wolves camp but with two men as talented as Jay Lethal & Michael Elgin, if they stay on the same page then they will no doubt make The Wolves fight every single step of the way. Dearborn! July 13th! The American Wolves versus Jay Lethal & Michael Elgin!

Four of the best will show just why ROH is the home for best professional wrestling on the planet! Tickets are on-sale now!

FOUR BIG MATCHES SIGNED FOR MILWAUKEE!

Kevin Steen, Women of Honor, and more...

On July 12th Ring of Honor heads back to Brew City and The Turner Hall Ballroom for another night loaded with the best professional wrestling on the planet!  Already signed are a pair of American Wolves/reDRagon clashes with Eddie Edwards versus Kyle O'Reilly and Davey Richards versus Bobby Fish!

Now ROH Match Maker Nigel McGuinness has confirmed four more bouts for our return to Milwaukee:

- Four Corner Survival (Non-Title): World TV Champion Matt Taven w/ Truth Martini vs. Jay Lethal vs. Adam Cole vs. Michael Elgin

The current TV Champion, two former TV champions both in the hunt for a World Title opportunity, and the current top contender for the ROH World Title...even with no titles on the line, no Proving Ground stipulations, this is one Four Corner Survival that is loaded!

- Kevin Steen vs. Silas Young

In his first match since the events that unfolded in Baltimore inside Steel Cage Warfare, Kevin Steen goes head-to-head with Silas Young.  Young is well-traveled, a seasoned veteran of the wrestling wars, and you know he will bring the fight to Kevin as Silas looks to earn himself a permanent spot in ROH.

- Mike Bennett w/ Maria Kanellis vs. BJ Whitmer

In a rematch of their "Best in the World 2013" encounter that ended with a Whitmer victory, Bennett will get a chance to redeem himself in Milwaukee.  This time though, as Maria pointed out to ROHWrestling.com when they were informed of the bout, there will be no Brutal Bob to cost Mike the match...

- Athena vs. MsChif

In a rematch of their bout on the 2/9/13 edition of "Ring of Honor Wrestling" TV, Athena and MsChif will go one-on-one once again!   The last time MsChif picked up the win with her second-rope piledriver known as Obliteration, can Athena even the score???

Also in action that night: Adrenaline RUSH (ACH & Tadarius Thomas), "The Sicilian Psychopath" Tommaso Ciampa, Match Maker Nigel McGuinness and more!

Question for those following ROH.

Where do you think they'll go with the SCUM story from here? Do you think it's truly over, or will Corino and any others attempt to get their revenge after Steel Cage Warfare?
