LatinoReviews has been teasing a big "Justice League of America" scoop for a while, and has now revealed what many would consider the obvious. According to the site, the movie will focus on Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and Flash.

Meanwhile, Martin Manhunter, Aquaman and Hawkman have been cut out of the film, but it's still possible that they may make a cameo appearance if Warner Bros decides that it would like to give the characters their own stand-alone films sometime in the future.

There's already a script by Will Beall, which apparently features Darkseid as the main villain. "Justice League" has yet to hire a director, but it will hit theaters during the summer of 2015.

Those are prob the ones you need to focus on, especially with the fact that Green Lantern, Superman and Batman have already been made into movies. Hawkman, Aquaman and Manhunter would be good to bring in later.

"Justice League of America" Movie Depends on "Man of Steel" Box Office Performance

Warner Bros has been planning to make a "Justice League of America" for many years, but it wasn't until Marvel's "The Avengers" became the highest-grossing film of 2012 that the studio decided it's finally time to move forward.

Then a California judge ruled that Warner Bros can proceed with a "Justice League" movie without any more litigation from the heirs of Superman co-creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Schuster. The studio immediately set a Summer 2015 release date with plans of getting the cameras rolling this year. Now nothing can stop "Justice League" from happening. Not quite.

Variety has learned that since "Green Lantern" was a box office disaster and "Superman Returns" barely made any money, Warner Bros will wait to see how "Man of Steel" performs before officially committing to "Justice League."

"Man of Steel" has a massive budget. And if the film doesn't become profitable, it will be a while before we see another DC Comics superhero, outside of Batman, on the big screen. "Man of Steel" is set to hit theaters on June 14th and Warner Bros is looking for an opening of around $70 million.

I think that they need to at least give Wonder Woman a movie before then, to at least let people who have no clue about her except her appearance a little insight to her story.

For some reason, the modern take on Wonder Woman has become the TV/Movie equivilant of solving interstellar travel. Nobody can do it.

Mark Millar, the creator of such comic books as "Wanted" and "Kick-Ass," was recently hired by 20th Century Fox to oversee their superhero properties. Now, in an interview with Sci-Fi Now, Millar commented on Warner Bros' upcoming "Justice League of America" movie, stating that it's a waste of money.

"I actually think the big problem for them is the characters are just too out of date," he said. "The characters were created 75 years ago, even the newest major character was created 68 years ago, so they're in a really weird time. The actual logistics of each member of the Justice League is disastrous, and you put them all together and I think you get an excellent way of losing $200 million."

Millar went on to say that he was a huge fan of the DC comics, but doesn't believe they can translate well to the big screen. He pointed out that Green Lantern's power is silly and that fight sequences usually consist of the character manifesting weapons from a distance. "The best one is definitely Aquaman," he continued. "Aquaman can't even talk under water. In comics it's fine, you just have a speech balloon, but how do you have Atlantis and people talking under water? Are they gonna talk telepathically?"

He makes some good points about characters being kinda outdated, but most of the JLA have shown an updated look and stories in various movies and other media.

By this point he just starts coming off as a dick. To answer your question, Marky boy, yes, they could very well talk telepathically. And there'd be nothing wrong with that.

Who are you to doubt Aquaman?

You're right, Jesus is nicer. But Alex is a close second.

Back in August, there was a rumor that Warner Bros wanted Ben Affleck to direct their "Justice League of America" movie. Knowing that Affleck prefers to star in the movies he directs, the studio was willing to offer him the Batman role.

Over the next couple of months, Affleck was asked to confirm the rumor, but he kept denying it, claiming that the studio never approached him and he has no interest in the property anyway.

LatinoReview has now learned that Warner Bros did in fact approach Affleck to direct "Justice League" and they absolutely wanted him to play Batman.

Warner Bros recently won a lawsuit against the heirs of the creators of Superman, making it easier to move forward with a "Justice League of America" movie, which already has a script by Will Beall (Gangster Squad). The plan has been to release the film during the summer of 2015 and have "Man of Steel" tie into it.

But then came word that "Justice League" may actually not happen if "Man of Steel" is a not a success at the box office. And now, BaddassDigest has learned from multiple sources that Warner Bros is planning to throw away Beall's script and start from scratch.

Apparently the current script is not a creative piece of cinema, but a story thrown together by executives that Beall was forced to turn into a script. Some characters have been cut and the studio feels it's not a good representation of the property.

The plan now is to hire a new writer and try again. Now that 2015 release is not looking very likely.
