MMA Draft Thread

Basic Concept/Rules

* Draft will take place on the EFK Boards

* When the draft begins the first player is on the clock and is given 12 HOURS to make a pick. If you miss your 12 hours you will be moved to the END of that round and given a chance to make a pick. Please note that this is a snake draft so if you are picking 3rd and miss it then you pick last in the round but do not pick first in the next round but instead remain at your #3 slot.

*You can miss as many rounds as you want as this only makes your card weak…

* After each selection I will verify if the fighter you have picked has been chosen, if yes then you will be moved to the END of the round much like you would be if you missed the pick.

*Each player is given 70 Million dollars to draft his fighters.

* You have a list with all the prices for each fighter. Be smart and consider all of your options and research each fighter you expect to choose.

* This is a snake draft so be smart and think ahead…

* Each card must have 7 Matches

*You must have a HW, LHW, MW, WW, LW match on your card, the other 2 are your choice between Womens, Catch weight, FW, BW, HW, LHW, MW, WW,LW.

* You may negotiate with other players in public or private. Like a pro sports draft everything can be traded, if you have your dream card in mind and see that you have about 5 million left over then use it to get a better draft position. If you are drafting first and think your guy will still be around later but you are coming up over 3 million then trade your spot away.

* All trades made should be PM to me and I will adjust. You can make trades at any point during the draft but make sure you do them prior to being on the clock. I do not want a person holding up the game trying to make a deal for their current spot in the draft or for more money so they can draft someone they want.

* You must designate the weight class of the fighter you are choosing at the time you draft them. Keep in mind that any fighter on the list who has ever fought a professional fight at a different weight class can be used at that class for this card. You will be given 2 postponement options during the draft which you may use to postpone declaring the weight class of your chosen fighter to the end of the draft. If you do not chose a weight class and are out of Postponements your fighter will be designated with the weight class he has on the pricing list.

* To make it easier on me please say the amount spent on each fighter when drafting them as it is easier for me to reference the list and move on to the next pick.

* Upon completion of the draft you will be given 48 hours to post your completed card in the forums. Once all cards have been posted a POLL will be placed up and the EFK members will vote on there favorite card.

Pricing List

In regards to the list below, you may feel that some people are over priced and some are under priced. I understand completely, but let me assure you that this list was not created out of personal opinion. This is was created using a criteria for each price range. I include the criteria in the list and each of you are more then welcome to look it up and see that it is all legit. This is took me some time so please if you see a duplicate name shoot me a PM and I will take care of it… In the case you notice on draft day or in planning that a fighter is priced in the 6 million dollar area and then again in the 3 million dollar area odds are he is 6 million. But using the criteria included you can look for yourself and see which money slot he should be at. Mistakes happen and I am not perfect so be gentle if you notice some…

2 Million for any fighter currently on the roster of the UFC, Strikeforce, Dream or WEC.

1 Million for any fighter who does not meet the criteria’s  for the above money amounts

Pricing Criteria

8 Million is determined by P4P ranking & Champion in UFC, Strikeforce, WEC & Dream
7 Million is determined by Top Ten rankings from above sights 1-5
6 Million is determined by Top Ten rankings from above sights 6-10
5 Million is determined by any person who has held a title in UFC, Strikeforce, and/or Dream or won a tournament from the three (TW = Tournament Winner)
4 Million is determined by any person who has had a title shot in UFC, Strikeforce, and/or Dream. Plus top 5 ranked P4P women fighters
3 Million is determined by TUF Winners & Runner ups, P4P Women Rankings 6-10 & guys picked in the E-Fed Knight MMA Draft who have not been priced yet.

Note: Since this list was created about 6 months ago I was forced to update it to reflect current standing and such. Several names that were on this list in a higher category due to them being top 10 in their division at the time have been placed in the 3 million dollar category because they either belong their or they do not fit any other category but I do not want to remove their name from the list.

Note 2 : Weight class is determined by the criteria they were placed on the list. If a person has fought one professional fight in another weight class you can use him in that weight class also. For example Bas Rutten was placed on the list because he is a former UFC Heavyweight Champion but this was prior to weight class so he is mostly known as a Light Heavyweight fighter, you may use him accordingly.

When drafting a Tournament winner be sure to check and see exactly how you will be using this guy. He has no weight class attached to him but you must still use him in a weight class that he has fought in previously and if none apply then we use his last known weight to determine weight class with moving 1 up or down being a option.

The TUF winners & runner ups are listed at the Weight class they fought in on the show.

James, everytime you post in the OOC your perception of "yourself" is just as apparently off key 'in game' as GM Franchise as it is 'out of game' as yourself lol.

Now I know how Franchise feels every game.  Speak your mind and you get singled out for it.

Quote* When the draft begins the first player is on the clock and is given 12 HOURS to make a pick. If you miss your 12 hours you will be moved to the END of that round and given a chance to make a pick. Please note that this is a snake draft so if you are picking 3rd and miss it then you pick last in the round but do not pick first in the next round but instead remain at your #3 slot.

Jonny Briggs has been moved to the end of this round which is basically right after Blade who is now up... In the case Briggs does not pick within 12 hours of Blade picking then his pick for this round will be moved to the end of the 2nd Round... Blade you are up...
