Life On Mars original air date was on my 15th birthday. This would've been cool if I'd started watching it from the start, but when I first saw trailers I thought it was some kind of weird documentary. Given that I was a Bowie fan, I really should've known better.

But yeah, I caught up during first series and that was incredible too.

I'd say Ashes was as good as Life On Mars, if not actually better. Loved Keeley Hawes in it (even more than I liked her in Spooks) and the Gene Genie was moved to London and got a new motor.

A fantastic time was had at my cousin Joe's wedding over the weekend.  So great to see family I haven't seen in a decade. A lovely ceremony and an amazing meal/party afterwards -  including a free bar for the first 2 hours!

Got hammered, met some new awesome people, welcomed Lizzie (the bride) into our family, and we were warmly welcomed into hers.  Just a damn fun weekend (despite some incredibly annoying train travel) and something I'm really glad I made the effort to go to.
