GM Franchise

Hell yeah! Anything with the Alien universe is going to be awesome...other than Alien 3 of course.  :D

James, everytime you post in the OOC your perception of "yourself" is just as apparently off key 'in game' as GM Franchise as it is 'out of game' as yourself lol.

Now I know how Franchise feels every game.  Speak your mind and you get singled out for it.

Splitting hairs here

Maybe it's my irrational hatred for Winnable Rider, lol.

Lol Winona Ryder, Ron Pearlman, and Brad Dourif are why I like it.

.....Winnable Ryder? Sometimes auto correct dies weird shit, lol.

Rumor has it that this will be a direct sequel to Aliens, ignoring 3 and 4.

Hopefully cancelling out/ignoring Alien VS Predator... at least the movie form of it. Sad thing, awesome source material in the games and comics, sucky movie. AVP2 was just a generic teen slasher with very brief Alien on Predator action in a badly lit setting at the end.
That's the bottom line coz Tone Cold said so...

Ellen Ripley Returns in Next Alien Film; Direct Sequel to Aliens

We recently learned that 20th Century Fox has officially tapped Neill Blomkamp (Chappie, District 9) to direct a brand spankin' new installment in the Alien franchise, which he has already begun work on. It was pretty certain that the film would feature iconic character Ellen Ripley, and this week it has been confirmed.

In joint interviews with UK's Sky Movies, both Sigourney Weaver and Blomkamp spoke about the upcoming project, with Weaver revealing that she is very excited to reprise the role of Ellen Ripley, and finish off the character's story once and for all.

"I would love to take Ripley out of, sort of, orbiting around outer space and give a proper finish to what was such an excellent story," said Weaver. "So when somebody like Neill Blomkamp suddenly said, 'Well, I'm interested in finishing the story,' my little ears perked up."

The most interesting bit of news came from Blomkamp's interview with the outlet, as he indicated that his Alien film will completely disregard the events of all sequels after 1986's Aliens.

"I want this film to feel like it is literally the genetic sibling of Aliens," Blomkamp said. "So it's Alien, Aliens, this movie."

We also recently learned that Blomkamp's Alien will take place after the events of Prometheus and its upcoming sequel, making it a direct sequel to Aliens that also ties into the Prometheus universe. Sounds like one hell of a challenge to me, and a true dream come true for us fans.

Weaver starred in both Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection, which we will from this point forward no longer speak of. They've been erased from cinema history, it seems.

To refresh your memory, check out Blomkamp's concept art below, for a small taste of his vision.
