"The Human Centipede 3" to Begin Filming on Friday



About a year ago, director Tom Six revealed that he was forced to delay production of "The Human Centipede 3" because Dieter Laser, who played the villainous Dr Heiter in the first film, was not willing to return until major script changes were made.

Six filed a lawsuit against Laser, but the actor was not giving in to threats. As a result, Six reached out to Udo Kier (Blade) to replace him. Soon after, everything was worked out with Laser, who will return for the third film, along with Laurence Harvey, who played the villain in the second installment.

But the two actors won't reprise their roles. Instead, they will play all-new villains in a storyline that Six says "no one will expect." "The Human Centipede 3" will contain a centipede made from 500 people and will feature a "big American celebrity."

Shooting was expected to begin in May. And now comes word that Six filed for a permit to begin filming around Los Angeles on Friday (May 24th), which means that everything is still on track. IFC Films will distribute the movie, but a release date has yet to be announced.
